Almost anyone — male or female — who wants to remove unwanted hair. The treatment is less suitable for pregnant women and those with very light or white hair. During your consultation, we’ll ask you lots of questions and confirm if this treatment is a good fit for you.

Before your treatment, be careful in the sun and don’t get a sunburn. Even a tan or visible tan lines will mean we will need to reschedule the appointment. Shave the area to be treated the day of or the day before your treatment because this removes only the visible parts of the hair. However, you should avoid waxing, plucking or using depilatory creams for at least six weeks before your treatment.

What to expect
This is considered one of the most comfortable laser hair removal treatments, especially with the devices we use. A provider will glide a handheld device over your skin, creating a warm, prickly sensation. The warmth subsides about an hour after treatment, and you may experience some sensitivity.
Some patients with lighter skin who have had sun exposure may also experience hyperpigmentation. This typically goes away after a few days.
